adolescent girls in India live in homes without toilets, and many schools lack basic sanitation facilities. Only 36% of women in India use sanitary napkins and rely on unhygienic alternatives such as old cloth, paper, plastic. Each year, 23 million girls in India drop out of schools due to inadequate menstrual hygiene facilities. Approximately 63 million of the adolescent girls
are unaware of menstruation prior to menarche.
At Child Vision Foundation, we are dedicated to transforming the lives of poor and needy orphan children in slums and government schools through our comprehensive menstrual hygiene program. By distributing sanitary pads and hygiene kits, we ensure that these young girls can attend school with dignity and confidence. Our mission extends beyond mere distribution; we empower girl students to become leaders and advocates for hygiene in their communities. Through education and awareness campaigns, we are breaking down societal taboos and fostering a culture of health and respect.
